  A few days before the Eid day celebration that the entire astronomers agreed that it would be on Monday October 13 Jeddah malls and markets finished its preparations to receive Eid Al-Fitr customers of different requirements.

Most of the shops and business centers re-programmed Thier work and hired temporary salesclerks, accountants and guides to facilitate the process of shopping these days.

Other shops reopened at noon and afternoon, which is unusual during the month of Ramadan and increased hours of work until dawn.

Sewing shops for male and female worked more for the processing of Eid clothes to hand them over to their owners before the Eid Day.

Abdulhameed a male sewer of Bani malik district sewers said, “Although we hired more sewers to meet the need of our costumers and to sew clothes as possible as we can, but we stopped receiving any more customers sicne the first week of Ramadan” 

“During the month of Ramadan our income of swing Eid clothes is more than an income of 8 months of the year, thanks Allah” he added

“We wouldn’t get new thoubs for the Eid if we didn’t sew a week before the month of Ramadan at least, all of us need new clothes for the Eid”  said Mohammad Sami a sewer’s costumer who has just get his kids new clothes from the sewer.

Candy shops’ costumers booked, or signed contracts with them to make them different types of sweets and to be delivered to them at the night of the Eid.

 Smaher Al-Hariri a customer of one of Jeddah candy shops who has paid a bill of 1300 S.R said, “I have booked two long tables of mixed sweets and candies to be put at the hall of the house”

 “One table will be for male and another for female, for our family gusts and visitors and the two tables will be brought at the night of the Eid,” Al-Hariri added.

 Resort and cabanas of Jeddah, Dammam and Al-khubr cities have been booked by their habitués, where many prefer to hold a celebration feast in these places and invite relatives and friends for their participation in this annual event.

  “Our family has booked a beautiful cabana on the beach for three days to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr,” Nadeen Hassan from Dammam said.

  Garments, footwear and gifts shops witnessed remarkable activity especially in the evening of the payday, which encourages a lot of demand for the purchase of the Eid requirements.

  “During these days we used to go to the mall more than once to buy our needs such as the Eid Gown and gifts and to bring some of them back to the shop if they were not right” Wala’ Muhammad said


Supermarkets witnessed a big number of customers to purchase Zakah of Eid Al-Fitr (Al-Fitr charity), of which have been processed in accordance with the required specifications bags especially in terms of legitimacy and weight

As it spread in the streets and squares surrounding mosques, vendors and sellers offered quantities of bags of rice as Zakah, which desirable to be paid a day or two before the Eid prayer.

According to several statistics about expenditures and consumption, the last ten days of Ramadan is the busiest heavily on the markets far outweigh than any other time of the year, As Zakah of Eid Al-Fitr (charity), garments, footwear and desserts are the most orders.

 The intensity of consumption and expenditure during this period considerd as something normal witnessed by other world markets during Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
